Mothers Day Luxury Spa Cloths

Pamper mom this year with three fun to knit washcloths.

Handknit washcloths are always a great gift just add some yummy bubble bath or bar of soap. Homemade washcloths aren’t just for Mother’s Day though, they are perfect for any occasion. I always like to have a stash on hand to use for gifting.

Finished size 9 in. x 9 in.

Supplies:

• Approx. 200 yards of 100% Cotton worsted weight yarn - I used 2 rolls of Lily Sugars n’ Cream Denim in Stonewash

• US 7 (4.5mm) straight needle

• Yarn needle to weave in ends

Abbreviations:

K - knit
P - purl
sts - stitches
Sl1 - slip one stitch as if to purl

Cast on 39 sts

Rows 1-4: Knit
Row 5: K3 (P1, K1) repeat to the last 4 sts, P1 K3
Row 6: Knit
Row 7: K3 (K1, P1) repeat to the last 4 sts, K4
Row 8: Knit

Repeat rows 5-8 eleven more times

Knit 3 rows

Bind off and weave in ends.

Cast on 39 sts

Rows 1-4: Knit
Row 5: K3 (P1, K1) repeat to the last 4 sts, P1, K3
Row 6: Knit

Repeat rows 5 & 6 twenty two more times

Knit 3 rows

Bind off and weave in ends.

Cast on 40 sts

Rows 1-3: Knit
Row 4: K3, purl to the last 3 sts, K3
Row 5: K3 (K1, Sl1 with yarn in front) repeat to the last 3 sts, K3
Row 6: K3, purl to the last 3 sts, K3
Row 7: K3, (Sl1 with yarn in front, K1) repeat to the last 3 sts, K3
Row 8: K3, purl to the last 3 sts, K3

Repeat rows 5-8 twelve more times

Knit 4 rows

Bind off and weave in ends.
