Strawberry Candy No-sew Crochet Pattern

Need a quick project? These no-sew candies are perfect!

Supplies:

● Small amounts of 6 weight yarn in red, green and yellow yarn, I used Parfait Chunky.

● This pattern can be made in any weight yarn just adjust hook size accordingly.

● Size G 4.25mm crochet hook

● Polyfil stuffing

● Stitch Marker

● Tapestry Needle

● Scissors

● Safety Eyes (Optional)

● Small amount of black yarn for mouth (optional)

Pattern Notes:

Pattern is worked from the bottom up.  Gauge is not important for this project. Finished size will vary depending on the yarn used. Pattern can be made in any weight yarn.

Abbreviations:

SC - Single Crochet R - Round Inc - Increase Dec - Decrease

Pattern:

Starting at the bottom of the candy with red

R1: Chain 8, starting in the 2nd chain from the hook SC7, turn and SC7 in the other side of the chain. (14)

R2: Inc., SC5, Inc., Inc., SC5, Inc. (18)

R3-9: SC18 (7 rows) You will now begin the top stem portion and will work one round with red and green

R10: (SC1 red, SC1 green) repeat around. (18)

Break red and continue in green only.

R11: SC18 Stuff the strawberry but not too firmly. If you are going to add safety eyes do so before beginning the decrease round.

R12: Dec around (9) Add a little more stuffing if needed.

R13: SC1, (Dec) repeat around (5)

R14: Inc around (10)

R15: (SC1, Inc) repeat around (15)

Break yarn leaving about an 8 inch tail, slip stitch into the next stitch and pull through. Weave the end down to round 12 and use it to tie the candy closed. Weave in what remains of the end. With yellow, stitch random seeds around the red portion.
